Adolescent

Hormonal changes drive increased boldness, reactivity, and selective obedience. May regress on training. High energy. Sexually mature from 6–12 months depending on breed.

Nutritional Needs

2 meals per day. Transition to adult food begins: small/medium breeds at 12 months, large breeds at 18–24 months. Reduce caloric density as growth slows.

Exercise & Activity

30–45 minutes 2x daily of structured exercise. Off-leash time in secure areas. Mental enrichment daily.
